Best Grip screw stud has a completely new design and is not designed as a conventional screw. A screw is the last thing you want to get in the tire as it provides puncture might not immediately but after a while when the tire is worn down. Best grip is flat on the bottom and falls not down more and more in the tire under load.
The design on the bottom is so cleverly designed so that the stud cannot even bolted through the cord during assembly. The stud can easily be screwed out of the tires if you want to remove them. After removing, the mark is barely visible on the tire.
The stud can also be glued on really extreme usage. However in 99 % of cases that is not necessary. The glue is recommended Loctite 496 or 480. The stud is easily mounted with the included sleeve mounted in a standard cordless drill.
